The village features an artsy blend of styles with unique architecture and picturesque walkways. Easy access to nearby coastal and woodland walks, particularly charm during the bloom of rhododendrons and azaleas.
While the rooms have their charm, they lean towards the outdated side. for over £300 a night, I expected better than a room that felt like a blast from the past. The small kitchen area left much to be desired, and the bath plug not holding water was a real inconvenience. Dining options were limited as we couldn't secure reservations on-site, forcing us to drive elsewhere instead.

Peaceful escape with stunning views
We spent 2 nights in a Village Suite. The architecture was gorgeous and we loved the quiet after the village closed. We stumbled upon this cute little deserted beach while wandering the nature paths, which was a pleasant surprise! Food at the restaurant was good, but they ran out of dessert options way too early.

Oh, the culinary adventure here is top-notch! The French bread was to die for, and every meal had that special touch of magic. The gardens are a feast for the eyes, crammed with vibrant blooms, perfect for an afternoon stroll. And don't even get me started on the buggies—what a fun way to scoot around!
Now, I had a steak that was a bit off from what I ordered, and my room lacked that castle charm. felt more like a basic setup, if I'm honest. A cheeky oversight in housekeeping left some linens out where guests could see—kinda deconstructed the vibe I was hoping for.
